Aircondition Foam Cleaner
Effectively removes bacteria, odors, and dirt from your vehicle’s air conditioning system. Keeps the air fresh and clean achieving it with DIY use.
Prepare the Unit: Turn off the air conditioner at least 2-3 hours before cleaning to ensure it’s cool and free of excess moisture. Open up the interior unit cover (most models unclick and are able to lift up the front cover, remove the mesh inserts – if available).
Apply Foam Cleaner: Shake the can well. For the exterior, apply an even coat of foam cleaner onto the vents targeting the evaporator coils. For the interior, use the included applicator straw to spray the foam cleaner into the condenser unit and ensure even application by moving the straw along the vent slats. Allow the foam to expand and work for approximately 15 minutes. The foam will liquefy and drain through the system’s condensate line.
Flush Residue (Optional): Using a hose, wash off any excess foam and dirt on the exterior unit. Ensure the external unit’s drainage pipe is clear of any blockages for effective drainage. On the internal unit, wipe up any excess foam and clean the mesh inserts.
Test: After cleaning, wait approx 2-4 hours for any liquid to dry off. Replace the internal mesh inserts, close the cover of the internal unit. Power on the unit and enjoy fresh, clean, and efficient cooling. (Repeat all steps as necessary).
Remark: Please observe the air conditioner manufacturer’s service recommendations for cleaning the unit.
Drying of Condenser: Start the engine, switch off the Air Conditioning (A/C). Set the airflow to recirculation on full fan power and maximum temperature (for 5-10 minutes). This procedure is very important as moisture within the A/C System can impair the cleaning effect.
Cleaning: Before applying the foam cleaner, switch off the engine. Shake the can well before use. Insert the adapter into the drainage hose. Spray the complete content into the condenser unit. After approx. 15 minutes reaction time, the foam becomes liquid and runs out from the condenser unit (drainage hose). Finally, make sure that the drainage hose is free from any residues. The cleaning process is now finished.
Remark: Please observe the car manufacturer’s service recommendations for cleaning the air conditioning unit.
